Dallas International School
Dallas, Texas
Size: 22,000 square feet
Owner: Mission Laique Fraincaise
Architect: GSR Andrade Architects
This project involved four buildings, including a two story building with classrooms, offices, and a cafeteria, two one story classroom buildings, and a library building.
The site was particularly challenging. There was very little room on the site for the construction office, parking, and material staging. Construction was separated from the children by a construction fence and a narrow buffer zone. Construction offices, traffic, and material staging all had to be coordinated with the community’s needs, the school’s morning and afternoon traffic patterns, and the school’s safety and security requirements. The safety and security of the children was of paramount importance and there were zero incidents with the children, staff, or parents.
